The International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA) was established following the recommendation from the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC)'s meeting during the Third Islamic Summit Conference held in Makkah al-Mukarramah (Saudi Arabia) in Rabiul Awwal 1401 H (January 1981).The Academy recently has 43 countries as official members worldwide out of 57 countries of OIC members.
Similarly to IFA (Islamic Fiqh Academy), IIFA's members and experts are selected from among the best scholars and thinkers available in the Islamic world and Muslim minorities in non Muslim countries, in every field of knowledge (Islamic Fiqh, science, medicine, economy and culture, etc.).
